Gerald D. Marr, Sr.
(June 23, 1933 - August 19, 2013)


Gerald D. Marr, Sr., 80, of South Point, OH, died Monday August 19, 2013 at the Emogene Dolen Jones Hospice House. Memorial funeral service will be conducted 5:00 PM Friday August 23, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Dr. David B. Lemming officiating. Gerald was born June 23, 1933 in Licking, MO., a son of the late Franklin Charles & Mildred Keeney Marr. He was a retired Supervisor from Steel of West Virginia after 32 years of service, and a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a grandson & a brother; Franklin Marr, Jr. Survivors include two daughters; Patty Radebaugh of Marion, OH, & Rebecca Gilliam & husband William of Olive Hill, KY, two sons; Gerald D. Marr, Jr. & wife Johnna & Charles Marr & wife Helen all of Marion, several step-children, one sister; Bernadean Shults of Licking, MO, one brother; Robert Marr of Rolla, MO, six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous step grand, great-grand, & great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends after 4:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
