Elizabeth Catherine "Billie" Fleckenstein
(October 1, 1924 - February 17, 2014)


Elizabeth Catherine Fleckenstein “Billie” of Huntington, WV, passed away on Monday February 17th 2014 at Midland Meadows Senior Living. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday the 20th at St. Joseph Catholic Church by Father Dean Borgmeyer. Right of Committal will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Elizabeth was a retired Administrative Clerk with the Social Security Administration and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was born October 1st 1924 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Leo and Clara Barbara Baker Fleckenstein. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her two sisters Leona Hamm and Sister Theresa Fleckenstein, SJ. She is survived by her brother Dr. Leo and Betty Fleckenstein and three sisters Mary and Richard Loeser, Barbara Ann O’Neill and Joan and Bruce Forrest. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited by Monsignor Luciana at 5:30 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Elizabeth will be remembered as a kind hearted soul and at one time or another came to the aid of all her siblings. She lived her life as a true Christian helping others. Surely the gates were wide open when she arrived. Contributions may be made in her honor to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1304 6th Ave., Huntington, WV, 25701.
