Obituary

Jerald Wayne "Jerry" McNeely
(August 6, 1947 - February 15, 2014)



Jerald Wayne “Jerry” McNeely, 66, of Huntington, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday February 15, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Scott Byard. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. He was born August 6, 1947 in Boone County, WV, a son of the late Dell and Janet Martin McNeely. He was US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Jerry was also a member of the Ceredo Christian Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by an infant daughter Sarah McNeely; brother Steve McNeely and sister Sharon McNeely. Survivors include three daughters and a son in law Tonya and Doug Smith of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Jerriann McNeely and Heather Renee McNeely both of Huntington; step son Jason Scot Meade of Huntington; five grandchildren Nicholas Cade McNeely, Jacob Lee McNeely, Caleb Lee Cline, Amanda Grace Cline and Declan Scot Meade; brother and sister in law Roger and Beverly McNeely of Huntington; a nephew Ronald David and Laurie McNeely of Nitro and his loving and caring companion, his little dog Suzy Q whom he loved very much. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home. The American Legion Post 93 of Kenova, WV will conduct military graveside rites.
