Dallas Beckett
(July 2, 1922 - June 29, 2009)


Mr. Dallas E. Beckett, 86, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away, Monday, June 29, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 pm Friday ,July 3, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, WV, with Rev. John J. Bourn officiating. Burial will follow in Bowen Cemetery. He was born ,July 2, 1922, in Cabell County, a son of the late Ira Beckett, Sr. and Ruth Carter Beckett. He was a Plumber with Parks and Recreation. He was Baptist by faith, a Mason in Lantata, FL, and a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Lakeworth, FL. He is survived by his wife Avalea Ours Beckett, a son Dallas Beckett, Jr, of Crawfordville, FL, a grandson Dallas Jason Beckett of Tallahassee, FL,, a sister, Doris Eloise Hatfield of Huntington, and a brother Ira Beckett, Jr, of Ona, WV.
