Virginia Pauline Bandy
(September 3, 1925 - July 5, 2010)



Virginia Pauline Bandy, 84, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Monday July 5, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, July 9, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington, with Pastor Glen Carmon officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born September 3, 1925, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Othir Dewey and Hazel Olive Handley Erwin. One sister and three brothers, and a grandson Sean Douglas Ramey also preceded her in death. She worked in the Quality Control Department for the former Owens/Illinois Glass Manufacturer, and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Bandy, of Proctorville, one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Ramey Parsons and Darrell of Atlanta, GA; one son Douglas Ramey of Wytheville, VA; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Donna Erwin of Huntington; four grand-children, Tiffany Parsons, Joshua Parsons, David Ramey and Derek Ramey; three great-grandchildren, Noah Parsons, Garrett Parsons and Sierra Cheyenne Ramey;, and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
