Ernest Bevins, Jr.

Ernest Bevins, Jr., 61, of Peach Creek, WV, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served during Vietnam, and was a member of the DAV Chapter 2 in Huntington and Masonic Lodge in Kansas. He was a graduate of Ohio University. Survivors include: his wife, Sharon Bevins; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shannon and Paul Adkins and Debi and Michael Campbell, all of Huntington, and Pauline Bevins of Warner Robbins, GA; six grandchildren, Brandon Adkins, Laurel Campbell, Jacob Campbell, Landon Campbell, Maura Campbell, and Parker Campbell; his mother-in-law, Pauline Fitch of Acworth, GA; and many good friends. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, with Dr. Charles M. Wood II officiating. Military Graveside rites will be conducted by Wright-Patterson AFB Honor Guard. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
