Rev. William Henry Plybon

Rev. William Henry Plybon, 85, of Milton, WV, husband of Sally Worley Plybon, passed away Monday, July 26, 2010, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Bill Blankenship and Rev. Willard Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Plybon Cemetery on Mount Union Road. He was born October 24, 1924 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late John Henry and Tennessee Tomblin Plybon. His first wife, Laura June Plybon and two sisters, Mary Hale and Minnie Teel also preceded him in death. Rev. Plybon retired from Smith Transfer, was a Baptist minister for over 40 years, and was a member of Pleasant Valley Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include, two step-sons and their spouses, Carl Russell and Janice Blankenship of Big Chimney, WV, and Charles Thomas and Anna Marie Blankenship of Huntersville, NC; three step-grandchildren, Ethan, Tyler and Emma Blankenship; two sons and their spouses, Ronnie W. and Bonnie Plybon, and Charles L. "Dewey" and Debbie Plybon all of Huntington; and a daughter and her spouse, Marilyn and Garland Bowen also of Huntington; four grandchildren, Michelle Cyrus, Amy Cyrus, Felecia Beatty and Stacy Spurlock, and 9 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary.
