Eloise Casey Kluemper
(May 17, 1918 - July 27, 2010)


Mrs. Eloise Casey Kluemper, wife of the late Ted Kluemper Sr. 92 of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Jim Sobus officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, in Huntington.

She was born May 17, 1918 in Ironton Ohio. Daughter of the late John Newton and Marie Casey, she graduated from local schools (Miller School and Huntington High School), and from St. Claire College in Richmond, VA. After college she worked in Richmond and then returned home to Huntington in 1939 after accepting a position with the Island Coal Creek Company.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Ted. V. Kluemper Sr. and sister Maxine Steelman. Those left to cherish a very special woman are her son Ted V. Kluemper Jr. and wife Christine, her daughter Linda and son-in-law Steve Raines of Greencastle Indiana, two grandsons Teddy V. Kluemper III and wife Molly of Huntington and David R. Kluemper of Pittsburgh Pennslyvania, a great grandchild Sophia Elaine Kluemper, nieces Mary Ann Coalson and Linda Hensley, great nephew Sam and Noellyn Coalson and many great friends from the Woodlands Retirement Community.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity, Marshall University H.E.L.P. Program or the Cabell County Public Library. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 and her remains will lie in state at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church after 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 on Friday, July 30, 2010.
