Flora W. Smith

Flora W. Smith, 88, of Huntington, WV died Saturday May 15, 2010 at the Woodlands Health Care Facilities after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Graveside funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday May 18, 2010 at Woodmere Memorial Park's Abbey of Remembrance by Rev. Ralph Sager. Flora was born November 8, 1921 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Charles S. & Rachael Parrish Wagers. Flora was a retired bookkeeper from the Cabell County Public Library. She was a member of the Beverly Hills Women's Club and a member of the former 20th Street Baptist Church & taught Sunday School there for 50 years. Survivors include her devoted husband of 66 years Homer C. Smith, 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Randy & Andrea Smith of Arlington, TX, & Larry & Robin Smith of Elko, Minn, 3 grandchildren, Adam Smith of Arlington, Nate & Maddie Smith of Elko, a niece Judy Bradbury & husband Poe of Ona, and numerous other nieces & nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Woodlands Health Care for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cabell County Library or the Alzheimer's Association. Friends may call after 10:30 AM at the cemetery on Tuesday.
