Anna Sinnett Whisman

Anna Sinnett Whisman, 86, of Huntington, WV, died Friday, May 28, 2010, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Ridgelawn Memorial Park's Abbey of Devotion with Pastor Jamie Gump officiating. Anna was born July 12, 1923 in Superior, WV, a daughter of the late Starling L. and Anna Miller Sinnett. She retired from the former Houdaille Industries and was a member of the Madison Avenue Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John Whisman; two brothers, Dr. John F. Sinnett and Sonny Sinnett; two sisters, Lenore Elaine Slack and Cora E. Sinnett; and a nephew, W. Drew Sinnett. Survivors include: four nephews, Harry, John, Jr., Roy & Thomas; and two nieces, Francine and Nancy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is in charge of arrangements.
