Judith Via (Hendrix) Xenos
(July 19, 1940 - May 12, 2010)

On Wednesday, May 12th, 2010, Judith Via (Hendrix) Xenos, lost her long battle with cancer. She was born July 19, 1940 in Huntington WV. Judith is preceded in death by her husband Thomas L. Hendrix, her mother Kathleen Nelson Via and her father, George E. Via. Survivors include husband, Mike Z. Xenos, daughter Kathy Hamsher of Charleston, sons J. Craig Rogers (wife Melinda) of Columbus, OH , Bruce Hendrix (partner Kevin M. Chaney) of Las Vegas NV, brother John Via of Huntington, three grandchildren, Joseph Hamsher, Emily Hamsher and Jacob Rogers, and special friends Pattie Blankenship and Mark Gibson both of Huntington. Judith graduated from the Marshall University School of Nursing and after 18 years of Psychiatric nursing, she retired from St. Mary's Hospital. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Rick DelCheccolo and his staff as well as Dr. Avinder Bir and the Oncology nurses at HIMG for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Huntington, PO Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. A celebration in memory of Judith's life will be held at Chapman's Mortuary on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
