Rev. Paul
A. Warren
(June 11, 1925 - May 17, 2010)
Rev. Paul A. Warren, 84, of Huntington, joined his
Lord and Savior on Monday May 17, 2010 from the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice
House. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday May 19, 2010 at
Chapman's Mortuary with his son, Phillip L. Warren, and Pastor Randy Skeens
officiating. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post
1064, Huntington, will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. He
was born June 11, 1925 in Hemlock, Fayette County, WV, a son of the late
Luther Jay and Emma Blanche Welch Warren. Paul had a sister, Margaret Warren
Ross; three brothers, Eldrith Warren, Walter C. Warren, and Luther J.
Warren; a grandson, Paul Jennings Stiltner, and a great grandson, Noah Reese
Sparks, all precede him in death. A United States Marine Veteran of World
War II, Paul served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a
Legislative Auditor for the State of West Virginia, having worked with
special investigations. Paul was an ordained minister of the United Baptist
and was a former Pastor at the Madison Creek United Baptist Church, and
Huntington United Baptist Church, was a member of the Eighteenth Street
United Baptist Church, and directed children's United Baptist Church Camps
at Salt Rock. Survivors include his wife and chick-a-dee of 61 years,
Frances "Judy" Edwards Warren of Huntington; two daughters and a son-in-law,
Teresa Warren of Ceredo, WV and Paula and Don Davis of Kenova, WV; a son and
daughter-in-law, Phillip L. and Marsha Warren of South Point, OH; five
grandchildren, Rebekah and husband, Charles Napier, Christina Lewis, Beth
and husband, Larry Sparks, Jessica Warren, and Jarod and wife, Julie Warren;
two great granddaughters, Hannah Eplion, and Chelsea Grace Warren; five
great grandsons, of which will serve as honorary pallbearers, Jacob Kitts,
Trentin Sparks, Drew Sparks, Gavin Sparks, and Gavon Warren; and three
special caregivers, Rhonda Pennington, Benna Grube, and Tonya Sowder. In
lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of
Huntington. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at Chapman's Mortuary,
Huntington.
