Joyce Jean Bias
(March 16, 1938 - October 12, 2013)



Joyce Jean Bias, 75, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday October 12, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 PM Wednesday October 16, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Rev. Edwin S. Harper officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Joyce was born March 16, 1938 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Glenn & Mary Katherine Farley Henry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Paul Bias, two brothers, James & Charles Henry and a special son-in-law, David Adkins. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; daughter, Susan Adkins Davis & husband David of Huntington, son, Brian Bias & wife Sarah of Lesage, three grandchildren, David “Moose” Adkins of Huntington, Mandy Porter & husband Ronnie, Jr. of South Point, OH and Jessica Bias & Dane Tierney of Barboursville, six great grandchildren, Jordan & Cassidy Porter, Aubrey & Skylar Adkins, Miles & Dessa Bias Tierney, two sisters, Sharon Malcom & husband Calvin of Parkersburg, WV & Glenna Hatfield & husband Rod of Barboursville, one brother, Larry & wife Kay Henry of Huntington, and sisters-in-law, Doralee Henry of Huntington and Mary Ann Henry of Lesage and a host of special nieces and nephews. Family and friends were Joyce’s passion and delight. She was a wonderful homemaker and “Mom” to many. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday October 15, 2013. David & Aubrey Adkins, Chuck, Tom, Larry & Glenn Henry, Ronnie Porter and Dane Tierney will serve as pallbearers.
