Carl D. Kinzer, Sr., 92, of Nashville, TN, formerly of Huntington, WV, died Sunday October 20, 2013 at his son’s home. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 PM Saturday October 26, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Ernie Ritchie and Frank B. Cummings, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Carl was born October 13, 1921 in Logan, WV a son of the late John Preston & Nevada Mae Grimm Kinzer. He was retired from Dutch Miller Chevrolet, as an award winning sales manager. He was a US Marine Corps veteran serving in WWII, a member of the D.A.V. and B.P.O.E. #313. He was preceded in death by his wife M. Maxine Kinzer. Survivors include one son, Carl D. “Chip” Kinzer, Jr. and wife Waraporn of Nashville, TN, one granddaughter, Brittany Kinzer Hann & husband Steve and two great grandchildren, Madison Wilson and Kaden Hann all of Barboursville, WV, four nephews, Frank B. Cummings, Jr., Anthony, Andrew & John Hill. Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday October 25, 2013.
