June Chapman

June Chapman, 90, of Huntington, WV, widow of Earl S. Chapman, died Monday October 14, 2013 in Keller Landing Nursing Home, Tuscumbia, AL. She was born July 21, 1923 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late William and Minnie Runyon Crisel. In addition to her parents, a daughter, Jane Ellen Craft; five sisters, Edna Mays, Dave Ola Fullerton, Mauntrey Chaffin, Mauney Dishon and Mary Louise Moore; and three brothers, William Crisel, Robert Crisel, and Richard Crisel preceded her in death. She was retired from the medical records department at the V.A Medical Center, and a former member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Survivors include a granddaughter and spouse, Regina and Thomas Smith of Rogersville, AL; her great grandsons, Jackson Smith and Wesley Smith; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Aloma and Vernon Doak of South Point, OH, and Gloria Ann Billups of Ashland, KY; a brother, Raben Crisel of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family from 12:00-1:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2013, at Chapman’s Mortuary and a procession will leave at 1:00 pm for a graveside service conducted at Spring Hill Cemetery, with Pastor David Cartwright officiating.
