Jeanetta Ann Simpson Vertz McKinney Barnette, 82, of Charleston, WV, passed away Tuesday September 24, 2013 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday September 27, 2013 at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, WV with Pastor Dennis Morrello officiating. Burial will follow. Jeanetta was born May 25, 1931 in Charleston, WV a daughter of the late Monroe & Vivian Bess Simpson. She was a retired C.N.A. from Charleston General Hospital and was Christian by faith. Survivors include four daughters; Sondra Moore & Carol McLean both of Charleston, WV, Elizabeth Smith of Centerville, GA, & Jo Ann Riner of Huntington, one son; Dale McKinney of Pikeville, NC, one sister; Betty Montgomery of Charleston, one brother; Ray Simpson of Chattanooga, TN, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Rd., Huntington, WV 25702. Friends may call at the cemetery after 1:30 PM Friday. Pallbearers will be; Dale McKinney, Tracy Green, Ray Moore, Thomas Riner, David Moore & Travis Moore. Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
