Betty Lou Preas

Betty Lou Preas 76, of Barboursville, WV passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 in Saint Mary’s Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Pastor Larry Casteel officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born February 1, 1937, in Huntington, a daughter of the late William Sunday and Mary Etta Elizabeth Sullivan Nease. One brother, Billy Jack Nease, and her life partner Ira Follrod also preceded her in death. She retired as a computer operator for American Benefit Insurance Company. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Phil Zimmerman of Barboursville, with whom she made her home; a granddaughter and her husband, Andrea and Matt Smith also of Barboursville; two great-grandchildren Brody Smith and Cooper Smith; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosella and Jim Robinette of Richmond, VA, and Marilyn and Arnie Thurlow of Tucson, AZ; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other friends whom she loved very much. Friends may call from 1:00 pm to service time Sunday at the funeral home.
