Ronald Davis Deeds
(July 20, 1928 - September 28, 2013)



Ronald Davis Deeds, 85, of Huntington, WV, died Saturday September 28, 2013 at Rose Terrace, Culloden, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 PM Wednesday October 2, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Steve Hamrick officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Ronald was born July 20, 1928 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Stanley Davis Deeds & Dorothy Russell Deeds Notter. He was retired from Western Union with 33 years of service, a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict: a member of the Community of Grace United Methodist Church, Berean Sunday School Class where he served as treasurer, a member of the Allegheny Blue Lodge, White Sulphur Springs Lodge # 136, also the Huntington Scottish Rite Bodies whose members will conduct Scottish Rite services at 7:30 PM Tuesday evening, KCCH, Illustrious Honorary 33rd Degree Mason and the Ben Kedem Shrine. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet M. Deeds, one brother; Gene Richard Deeds, and one sister; Sandra Jarrell. Survivors include two sons, Ronald D. Deeds, Jr. and wife Karen of Hurricane, WV, and Phillip Deeds and wife Debbie of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Lacie Casto and husband Brian of Huntington, WV, Linsi Deeds of St. Albans, WV, and Lauren Deeds of Houston, TX; one great grandson, Jase Casto; one sister, Barbara Washington of Milton, WV; one sister-in-law, Janet Deeds of Radford, VA; and several nieces & nephews. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Huntington Masonic Lodge # 53 AF & AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your charity of choice, under the name of Ronald Deeds. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday October 1, 2013.
