Walter William Messenger

Walter William Messenger, 60, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born November 25, 1952 in Wayne County, WV, a son of the late Leucole and Ellen Ross Messinger. Others preceding him in death were two sisters, Sandra Perry and Carm Cabot; and a brother, James Michael Messinger. He was a truck driver and last worked for Pickett Concrete. Survivors include two daughters and a son in law, Renee Wilson, and Sheila and Christopher Hudson; a son and daughter-in-law, Walter Messenger, Jr., and Cary Messenger; two grandchildren, Jessica Brown and Christopher Wilson; six sisters, Barbara Zezula, Marlene Blumenthal, Gwendolyn Sollis, Meda Kay Slone, Belinda Mockus, and Yvonne “Bonnie” Hatfield; and a brother, Joel Messinger. Graveside services will be conducted 2:30 pm Friday, September 13, 2013 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David G. Fairburn officiating. Friends may visit half hour before services at the cemetery.
