Obituary



Shelia Kay Burch Hagley, 72, of Flatwoods, KY, formerly of South Point, OH, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, in King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland. She was born December 6, 1948 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Junior Elden and Inez Eloise Finley Burch. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Lee Burch and the father of her children, Larry Hagley. She was a graduate of South Point High School; was formerly an LPN; and was a member of Coal Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include: two daughters, Lora (Keith) Stewart of Catlettsburg, KY and Stacey (Gary) Cook of Ashland, KY; four grandchildren, Devyn Longo, Kris Longo, Samantha Stewart, and Gary Cook; five great grandchildren, Savannah Hudson, Isabel Cook, Gary Cook III, Ray Cook, and Caroline Cook; an aunt, Imogene Dailey of Milton; an uncle, Denzil (Helen) Burch of Ona, WV; a special sister, Debra Hagley; a niece, Jennifer (J.B.) Marinacci; two great nieces, Alyssa and Addley Marinacci; a great nephew, Andrew Marinacci; and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Brad Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
