Karen Lee Hendrick


Karen Lee Hendrick, 68, of Lesage, WV, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. She was born February 26, 1953 in Portland, OR a daughter of the late Harold B. Adkins Sr. and Frieda P. Haines Adkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Paul Hendrick, Sr. and a son, Joseph Lee Hendrick. She attended Cox Landing United Methodist Church. Survivors include: a daughter, Shawna Hendrick of Lesage; a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney P. Hendrick, Jr. and Alma "Amy" Hendrick of Wayne, WV; a step grandson, Ellis Stapleton of New Martin, TN; three step great grandchildren, Natalie Stapleton, Walker Stapleton, and Ellis Stapleton; two sisters, Darla Jean Adkins and Cynthia Adkins, both of Lesage; a brother, Bud Adkins of Milton; several cousins including a special cousin who led her to Christ, Shelby Hill of Milton; three nephews, Holden (Candace) Adkins. Johnathan (Jessica) Adkins, and Duane Jarrell; several great nieces and nephews; and the Hendrick Family. The family would like to thank the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington for their loving care. Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Cox Landing United Methodist Church, Lesage, with Pastor Jerry Ryder officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 pm Tuesday at the church. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
