Merald Wayne Bauer
(August 11, 1929 - December 2, 2022)

M. Wayne Bauer, 93, of Proctorville, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 2, 2022 at his residence. He was born August 11, 1929 in Leon, WV a son of the late Vallie and Elizabeth Durst Bauer. Wayne retired from the former INCO Alloy and was in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth and his two daughters Susan and Amy, whom he adored; five sisters, Lorena Floyd, Clarice Jones, Marjorie Costanzo, Gladys Chapman and Garnet Schwarz; four brothers, Sidney "Perch", Manford., Vallie, Jr and Christopher "Chris" Bauer. He is survived by his only living brother Mack Bauer of Point Pleasant, WV; a special sister-in-law, Janice Singer of Proctorville, Ohio; and a special nephew and his wife, Rick and Tammy Spurlock of Proctorville, Ohio, who helped care for Wayne, in his last years; and many other loved nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Tuesday December 6, 2022 at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Jerry Matt officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour before the service (11:00 am to 12 noon) Tuesday at the funeral home.
