WINFORD LEE HICKS
(September 21, 1953 - January 18, 2015)

Winford Lee “Wink” Hicks, 61 of Huntington, W.Va, died, Sunday, January 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 21, 1953 in Raceland, KY. the son of the late, Winford Jerry and Evelyn Ann Hicks. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Barker Hicks of Huntington, W.Va; two daughters, Rebecca Short of Huntington, W.Va. and Patricia Hicks of Ceredo, W.Va.; four step-children, Tim Ward, Rebekah Ward, Christina Ward and Melissa Blankenship; two sisters, Ann Fairchild and Emma Adams both of Southshore, KY; one brother, Gary Sowards of Huntington, W.Va; six grandchildren, Zachary Garmon, Jeremiah Garmon, T.J. Short, Andrea Ward, Chloe Ward and Serenity Short. He was self employed. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. with Pastor Ray Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, W.Va. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the mortuary.
