DOROTHY ANN ROSS
(June 4, 1932 - January 12, 2015)



Dorothy Ann Ross, 82 of Barboursville, W.Va. passed away, Monday, January 12, 2015 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. She was born June 4, 1932 in Elkins, W.Va. the daughter of the late Willis and Marie Day Hertig. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Ross; one son, Danny Ray Ross and one niece, Rheta Gruse.  She was a retired clerk at S&J Market, Barboursville, W.Va, a member of Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church, member of the Barboursville Woman’s Club, and a graduate of Barboursville High School. She is survived by one grandson, James Thomas Ross (Trish) of Salt Rock, W.Va; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Nelson, Rachael and Thomas Ross; two sisters, Winona Holbrook (Arley) of Barboursville, W.Va and Helen Brandt James (Robert W.)  of Atlanta, Ga; one brother, Willis “Bud” Hertig (Camilla) of Alpena, W.Va; four nieces, Charlotte Hertig Snider, Barbara Brandt Kinter, Arlene Qualls and Sara McComas; nephews, Chris and Eric Hertig. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 Pm on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary with Rev. Patrick Ryan. Entombment will be at the Christus Mausoleum at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Pm on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Rd. Huntington, W.Va. 25702.
