Jean Patton, a 53-year resident of Huntington, died at the age of 88 in her apartment at The Wyngate Inn, in Barboursville, W.Va. Entombment will follow at the White Chapel mausoleum in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. Arrangements are under the direction of Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. She was born in Beckley, W.Va.  She married Warren when he returned from fighting in WW II and devoted the rest of her life to being the best wife, mother, and homemaker possible. Well-known for her great cooking, generosity, and hospitality, she faithfully served her family and church. She and Warren had a great desire to know that each member of their large families had been freed from the curse of sin by trusting Jesus Christ as Savior. Warren and Jean's third child is Dwayne, married to Betsy. His oldest two children from a previous marriage are Suzanne Evans and her husband Jeff, and her children, Heather, Russell and Anthony; and Stephanie Nielsen and her husband Chris, and their daughter, Linnea. Dwayne also has a son, David. Warren and Jean's youngest child, Karen, is married to Norman Hawks. Their children are Justin, Timothy and Jennifer Hawks Langley and her husband John. Additional survivors include one brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial gifts may be made to the Missions Fund at Grace Gospel Church, 1111 Adams Avenue, Huntington, WV 25704, which would be consistent with Jean's desire to see the good news about Jesus Christ preached around the world.
