JAMES R. HOLT
(April 25, 1928 - January 17, 2015)

James Richard Holt, 86, of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va.  He was born April 25, 1928 in Fairmont, W.Va. the son of the late, James Harter and Harriett Peck Holt.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeanette Nutter Holt in 1998; three sisters, Christine Mason, Doris Feiber and Mary Ellen Prickett and son-in-law, Keith Byers. He was a graduate of West Virginia University where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, a U.S. Navy Veteran, retired Purchasing Agent with Owens Illinois, member of the Masonic Lodge in Alton, Illinois and member of Pea Ridge United Methodist Church which he loved very much. He is survived by five children, James Richard Holt, Jr. (Yvonne) of Huntington, W.Va, Cynthia Dianne Holt of  Huntington, W.Va., Jane Ellen Holt Duecaster (David) of  Keller, TX, Vicki Leigh Holt Byers of Tallmadge, OH, Norman Eugene Holt of Keller, TX and a close family friend, Brenda Howell of Huntington, W.Va; sister, Laura Jean Jimmie of Morgantown, W.Va; three grandsons, Seth Richard Holt, Tyler Aaron Byers and Brian David Duecaster and numerous special nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. with Rev. Dr. Gary Shepard officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the Pisgah Cemetery 2718 Smittown Road, Morgantown, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va.
