Barbara Yvonne Hensley
(February 24, 1934 - November 11, 2010)



Barbara Yvonne Hensley, 76, of Wayne, WV, passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side on Thursday November 11, 2010. She is now in heaven with daddy whom she has missed dearly these last 12 years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Ron Scarberry. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. She was born February 24, 1934 in Kenova, WV, a daughter of the late Harry and Mabel Lycans Caniff. She was a retired nurse having worked at Our Lady of Bellefont Hospital in Ashland, KY. Barbara was also a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles C. Hensley; a brother Marion D. Caniff and two sisters Wanda L. Carpenter and Harriet Smith. Survivors include four daughters and sons in law Susan A. Lipscomb (Brady), Patricia J. Harris (Skip), Terry L. Lewis (Russ) and Chaundra J. Maddox (Scott); ten grandchildren and spouses Heather and Jay Scarberry, Beth Anne and John Paul Workman, Chris and Erin Harris, Tug and Kellie Harris, Brian Lewis, Morgan Lewis, Jacob Maddox, Rachel Maddox, Sarah Maddox and Emma Grace Maddox; five great grandchildren Taylor Workman, Alexandra Workman, Andrew Scarberry, Logan and Charlee Harris and Sophie Harris; sister Judith Sheinbrot of Baltimore, Maryland; several nieces and nephews and two special friends Marvin Maynard and Greg Hatten. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home.
