Homer May
(October 1, 1924 - November 30, 2010)

HOMER MAY, 86, of Zanesville, Ohio, formerly of South Point, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Matthew Workman. Burial will follow at May Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va. Homer was born on October 1, 1924 in Huntington, W.Va., the son of the late Roscoe and Sylvia Bloss May. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Myrtle May and two sons, Roy and Michael May. Homer was a member of Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church, part owner of Andrew and May Upholstery for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Barbara May; and daughter and son-in-law Glenna and Jay Workman, all of Zanesville, Ohio; four grandchildren Marci Shumway, Kari May and Jason and Matthew Workman; one sister, Reva Fay Heninger. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday December 3, 2010, at the Reger Funeral Home.
