Sherman Edmond Lowe
(February 27, 1931 - November 28, 2010)



SHERMAN EDMOND LOWE, 79, of Chesapeake, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord and join his wife, Irene Perry Lowe, Sunday November 28, 2010, at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. Funeral Liturgy will be conducted by Father Livinus Uba at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born February 27, 1931, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Sherman and Betty Finley Lowe. He was an office clerk with the Ohio River Coal Company He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his wife and parents, Sherman was preceded in death by brother Paul Lowe and sister Vada Sibert. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and William W. Elder and Dotty and Roy Hatten; six grandchildren, William Joseph Elder and his spouse Kelli, Brittany and Katie Elder and Mark, Rebecca and Esther Hatten; two great-grandsons, Nehemiah and Alex Elder; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernie and Emma Lowe and John and Mary Ann Lowe, and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to thank Sarah Care Adult Day Services for making Sherman a part of their family. Contributions may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association or the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Lilburn, GA 30047. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
