Obituary

ELIZABETH LEONA JOHNSON
(December 23, 1918 - November 17, 2010)

ELIZABETH LEONA JOHNSON, 91, of Kenova, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. She was born December 23, 1918, to late Lincoln and Maude Mynes Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brothers Elsworth and Matt Johnson. She is survived by her niece Donna Kelly of Downers Grove, Ill., and two great-nieces, Mary Wright of Jacksonville, Fla., and Sheila Tomblin of Wayne, W.Va., and other family and friends. Elizabeth is a member of the Prince of Peace FWB Church. She worked several years in downtown Huntington at Steven's Drug Store and Browns. She then moved to Arizona, where she worked and retired from the University of Arizona. A special thanks to her loving caregivers of Heritage Center and Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Phillip Warren at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice House of Huntington or to the Wayne County Animal Shelter. Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
