Obituary



Martin Prince, Jr., 74 and Juanita Gail Prince, 72, of Huntington, passed away Monday August 1, 2016 at their residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Monday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Randy Lavender and Pastor Nicholas Lavender. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. He was born May 8, 1942 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Martin Prince, Sr. and Martha Chafin Prince. He was a retired employee of Houdaille Industries and attended the Jackson Avenue Church of God Holiness. She was born March 23, 1944 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late LeRoy Cooper and Margaret Walker. She was a former employee of Cabell Huntington Hospital and Presbyterian Manor, attended Westmoreland Baptist Church and was a faithful caregiver of her brother Tom Cooper (Walker). Mr. and Mrs. Prince were preceded in death by two sons David Martin Prince and Ronnie Dale Prince. In addition, Martin was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters while Juanita was also preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include two daughters Linda Hughes (Danny) and Tammy Samson all of Huntington; one daughter-in-law Kimberly Prince, eight grandchildren Daniel Ray Hughes (Sara) of Huntington, Christopher Wyatt Hughes (Kimberly) of Huntington, Renee Lynn Samson of Nitro, WV, Deidre Michelle Samson-Jenkins (James) of Genoa, WV, Stephanie Jane Samson of Huntington, Joshua David Maynard (Cat) of Charlotte, NC, Ronnie Dale Prince, Jr. of Huntington and Maggie Noel of Florida; seven great grandchildren Emalyn Rose Hughes, Amaryllis Bloom Hughes, Madison Paige Hughes, Michael Samson, Marshall Jenkins, Noah Jenkins and Austin Noel and several nieces and nephews. Additional survivors for Martin include two sisters Madeline Craft (Jim) of Huntington and Rose Daniel (Wes) of Barboursville and for Juanita an aunt Donna Clere of Colorado. Friends may call from 11 am until service time on Monday at the Reger Funeral Home.
