Obituary

LEE G. SYDENSTRICKER
(January 21, 1917 - August 15, 2016)



LEE G. SYDENSTRICKER, 99, of Huntington, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at Madison Park Nursing Home in Huntington, W.Va. He was born January 21, 1917, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late William and Letha Lewis Sydenstricker. Lee served as head greens superintendent at Spring Valley Country Club from 1946 to 1965. A talented individual, Lee continued his career as a blacksmith and was well-known for his expertise throughout the Tri-State area. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Sydenstricker. Lee is survived by his son, Richard Sydenstricker (Deanna) of Tennessee, and daughter, Peggy Zuliani (Mike) of Florida, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Woodmere Abbey of Remembrance, Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, by Rev. Tim Porter. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the cemetery. Reger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
