Obituary



Charles Edward Rappold, 84, of Huntington, passed away Friday August 12, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. A Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at 10 am Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Huntington, by Father Dean Borgmeyer. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. He was born February 23, 1932, in East Point, Kentucky, a son of the late Charles Leo and Audrey Grace Dingess Rappold. He was a retired employee of INCO and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alisha Jones and a grandson Chad Rappold. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Caroline Rappold; six sons Charles W. Rappold (Michelle), Steve Rappold (Connie), Mark Rappold (Rhonda), David Rappold (Tina), Chris Rappold (Terri) and John Rappold (Michelle); daughter Donna Dingess; twenty three grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two brothers Jim Rappold (Pat) and Joe Rappold (Sandy) and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the Reger Funeral Home.
