Obituary



George W. Adkins, 66, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday January 27, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by his son in law Melvin Pauley. He was born February 4, 1949 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Katherine Adkins. He was the retired owner/operator of Adkins TV and he was an employee of C&O Railroad for seven years. George was a veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1975. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his step father Lee Stapleton and his maternal grandmother who raised him Sallie Adkins. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Peggy Spaulding Adkins; two daughters and sons in law Anna and Melvin Pauley of Huntington and Mary and Glen Noel of Columbus, Ohio and grandchildren Maggie and Justin Frazier, Chrissy Pauley, Samuel Noel, Angel Pauley and Josh Pauley. Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home.
