Obituary

Lee F. Rice, 51, of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Paul R. Rice Jr. Private burial services to follow. Lee was born on March 27, 1964 in Huntington, WV the son of Geneva E. Rice and the late Paul R. Rice Sr. In addition to his mother he is survived by his siblings; Paul R. Rice Jr. (Rachael), Darlene Frye, Teresa Sexton (Mike) and Penny Carver (Mike) and a dearest uncle: Donald Rice and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephews and cousins. Lee was the sweetest soul you could ever know. An avid sports fan with a special love for the Thundering Herd and was rooting for them at the very end. He was a fighter his entire life and proof of God’s healing power, love and grace. He was burdened by worldly worries but always found a smile for everyone. We are lost without you but hold onto the peace of God’s promise of salvation and the promise to meet our needs and know you have the riches of Glory. We know your precious smile is making heaven brighter and we will rejoice when we see you again. Lee attended the West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind at Romney, WV “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away” Revelation 21:4 Friends may call from 1-2; 00 pm Tuesday January 26, 2016 at the Reger Funeral Home.
