Rebecca Breeding, 89, of Huntington, passed away, Monday January 11, 2016 at Woodlands Retirement Community, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. She was born December 14, 1926 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Walter and Hattie Adkins Maynard. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who enjoyed singing with her husband. She was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband of 62 years Orvel Breeding. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by five sisters Bessie Clark, Virginia Lemaster, Shirley Staley, Letty Quate and Polly Mullins. Survivors include two sons and daughters in law David Lee and Betty Breeding and Timothy and Lesa Breeding; four grandchildren David C. Breeding, Deneen Miller, Scott Breeding and Jodie Breeding; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to former CEO Don Faherty, Dr. Cindy Pinson and the staff of Woodlands especially the health care staff who touched her heart with genuine love and care.
