Obituary

Gilmer Odell Chapman
(January 8, 1940 - September 20, 2017)

Gilmer Odell Chapman, 77, of Barboursville, WV passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his residence. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Baylous Cemetery, by Pastor James Jobe. He was born January 8, 1940 in Salt Rock, a son of the late Osle and Maude Bledsoe Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Blankenship Chapman; one son, Odell “Delly” Chapman, Jr. (Brenda Chaney) of Ona; two brothers Raymond Chapman and Osle Chapman, Jr. both of Salt Rock; and one granddaughter, Brittany Chapman. According to Odell’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
