Winnie Wonetta Black
(April 29, 1948 - April 1, 2018)

WINNIE WONETTA BLACK, 69, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away April 1, 2018, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born April 29, 1948, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Hazel Samuel Coy and Mary Mae Steele Coy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Black Sr., and her son, Vernon Black Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Angela Mae Simmons; one sister, Vicki Coy; two brothers, Rick Coy and Lou Coy; one granddaughter, Jasmine Brooks; one great-grandson, Parker James Brooks; a special nephew, Jason Coy; and two special friends, Rodney Conn and Tracy Swimm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
