Charles Edward Stamper Jr.
(December 7, 1954 - April 16, 2018)



Charles Edward Stamper Jr., 63, of Barboursville, went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2018, at home. He was born December 7, 1954, in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Charles Edward Stamper and Elizabeth Brown Stamper Davis. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Davis; brother, Johnny Bert Stamper; and his sister, Brenda Sue Dassell. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jayne Hamer Stamper; one daughter, Sarah Jane Stamper; sister, Gayle Michael (Bill) of St. Albans, WV; one brother, Chuck Davis (Sherri) of Baton Rouge, LA; one special grandson, Kaden Seth Copley; one niece and two nephews. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a 20 year member of the American Legion Post # 640, Chesapeake, OH, and a volunteer honor guard, color guard for the Legion. He retired from the oil and natural gas business. Charlie was a volunteer driver for DAV. He was a life member DAV Chapter 52, Kenova. Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and brother. He was a member of Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church and forever follower of our Savior Jesus Christ. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, 21, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Greg Lunsford.
