Obituary

Doris E. Burgess
(November 17, 1933 - April 6, 2018)

DORIS E. BURGESS, 84, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Dr. David Lemming and Dr. Tim Yates. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born November 17, 1933, in Cabell County, W.Va. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn Gary Burgess, and one son, Jack Neal Hoffsted. She was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Gary A. Burgess (Susan) of Barboursville, Mark A. Burgess of Huntington and Wayne Burgess (Coleen) of California; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Visitation will be after noon on Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
