Lucille Murphy

Mrs. Lucille Murphy, 78, of Huntington, widow of Floyd Murphy, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the Emogene Dolen Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 31, 2009, at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Roger Mooney officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. She was born January, 1 1931, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Laura Ferguson Crager. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Wanda Raye, and 2 sons, Timothy Murphy and Randy Murphy. She was Baptist by faith. Surviving are 4 daughters, Rosie Bailey, and Sonya Wolford, both of Huntington, and Peggy Chaney and Osie Cleveland both of Chesapeake, OH; a son Warren Murphy, of Huntington; 2 brothers, Frank Murphy and Tommy Murphy, both of Huntington; 10 grandchildren, Jackie Shaffer, Jill Cook, Billie Jo Riley. Tara Hager, Evan Wolford, Veronica Cleveland, Grant Murphy, Adam Chaney and his twin brother Matthew Chaney (now deceased) and Jerry Chaney, II; 9 great grandchildren, Matthew Bailey, Dustin Hager, Miranda Bailey, Meganne Shaffer, India Johnson, Olivia Cook, Gabe Cook, Grant Murphy, II and Haley Murphy, I great grandchild, Alea Bailey; and 2 special friends, Nick Meadows of Milton, WV, and Susan Murphy of Huntington. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary after 1:00 pm Friday July 31, 2009.
