Thelma Corinne "Polly" Smith, 93, of Huntington, WV, died Sunday July 19, 2009 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday July 22, 2009 at the Guyandotte United Methodist Church (305 Main St. Guyandotte) by the Rev. Julia Bolling & Pastor Mike Smith. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Polly was born November 27, 1915 in Guyandotte, WV a daughter of the late Alexander John & Ruby Lyleth Duncan Bills. She was retired from the former St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of the Guyandotte Chapter # 89 O.E.S. for 50 years, whose members will conduct Eastern Star Services, Guyandotte United Methodist Church, sang in the choir for 66 years and loved to square dance & bowl. She was preceded in death by her husband James Everett Smith, 2 brothers Julian Duncan Bills & Robert Lewis Bills. Survivors include 1 daughter & son-in-law Lileth Ann & David Gordon of Huntington, 1 son & daughter-in-law Larry Everett & Valorie Smith of Pelham, AL., 2 grandchildren Adam Richard Booth & wife Krista of Proctorville, OH., Lisa Ann Lafon & husband Larry of Huntington, 4 great-grandchildren Makena Corrine Booth, Rylee Addison Booth, Savanna Rose Lafon, Troy Vincent Lafon and a special friend Glenna Johnson of Huntington. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
