Aileta F. Furlong, 87, of Barboursville, WV, died Saturday October 31, 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday November 3, 2009 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington by Ministers Scott & Alan Meneely. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Aileta was born January 11, 1922 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Joseph & Molly Miller Fodal. She was retired from the accounting department of the former INCO Alloys. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers & 2 sisters. She was a certified braillest, and a 72-year member of the Sixth Avenue Church of Christ where she was the financial secretary for many years. Survivors include her husband John Furlong, 1 cousin Jean Erskine of Huntington, 4 nieces, 1 nephew and 9 grand nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sixth Avenue Church of Christ (530 20th St., Huntington, WV). Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday November 2, 2009.
