Anna G. Summers
(March 12, 1933 - January 7, 2010)



Anna G. Summers, 76, of Huntington, passed away at the home of her sister, Dorothy Summers Thursday, January 7, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, January 11, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Jerry Lake officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, with Wally Summers, Mike Summers, John Brunty, Phil Sperry, Ron Sims and Robert Stoler serving as pallbearers. She was born March 12, 1933, in Landville, WV, Logan County, a daughter of the late Andrew and Rosa Tividor Gulacsi. Two sisters, Margaret Parker and Mary Bradshaw also preceded her in death. She was the former office manager for Capital Finance, and the secretary/treasurer for over 20 years at the Strike Zone Bowling Center. Additional survivors include; her loving husband of 53 years, Walter L. Summers, Sr., two sons, Wally Summers and Mike Summers and his fianc'e, Diana Burch all of Huntington; two sisters Julia Lake of Barboursville, and Rosie Lauterbach of Portsmouth, VA; one brother, Andrew Gulacsi, Jr., of Huntington; and her boxer puppy Rocky, who she nicknamed, Little Earl. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Huntington, the Oncology Unit at Saint Mary's Medical Center, and her caregivers, Susan, Sara, Linda and Reese. Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the funeral home, and one hour before services Monday. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road Huntington, WV, 25702.
