Lois I. Sullivan
(May 8, 1934 - August 24, 2012)



Lois I. Sullivan, 78, of Huntington, went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary with Rev. Ray Vance officiating. Burial will be in Crook Cemetery. Lois was born May 8, 1934, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Emory and Hardy Bowen. Additional family that has preceded her in death were a son, Ellis Shepherd, her first husband, Roy Shepherd, and five brothers. She was a member of Ceredo Christian Baptist Church, and was a sales clerk for area clothing stores. Survivors include her husband, Elgie Sullivan, Jr., of Huntington; two daughters, Diwhana Sue Nicholson and Tena Kimball, both of Huntington; a sister, Ruthie Mae Burge of Florida; nine grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. She will be loved and missed by all. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 PM Sunday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
