Freddie Lee "Fred" Lam
(August 25, 1931 - March 8, 2011)



Freddie Lee “Fred” Lam, 80, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012, in Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Ken Toler and Gary L. Patton, Ph.D. officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, with military graveside rites by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16. Fred was born August 25, 1931 in Huntington, WV a son of the late John Carter Lam and Jessie Violet Shrader Lam Mays. A son, David B. Lam; and two grandchildren, Nikki Federer and Lindsie Federer, also preceded him in death. He was a retired salesman for Dutch Miller and later delivered for Budget Pharmacy. Fred was a member of Trinity Church of God and was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Ermal Lam; two daughters, Brenda Lam Carel and her husband, Chris of Huntington and Sherrie Lee Lam Federer of Barboursville; a son, Ken Lam and his wife, Debi of Huntington; four grandchildren, Angie, Allison, Amy, and Aron; great grandchildren, Loran, Whitney, Steven, Breanna, Richard, Sean, and Liam; a great great grandson, Jaxson and a brother, Charlie Lam of Charlotte, NC. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, March 12, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary.
