Frances Carol Townson
(November 1, 1939 - March 10, 2012)


Frances Carol Townson, 72, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1939 in Miami, Kanawha County, WV, a daughter of the late Bennett Stone and Hannah Maglene McClure Duncan. She is also preceded in death by two husbands, James Monroe “Jimmie” Ward, Sr., William “Bill’ Townson, and special friend, Jesse Lee Music, Sr.; and a brother, Bennett Duncan. She was a member of Living waters Revival Center and a former teacher’s aid and nurse’s aid. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and David Maynard of Jodie, WV, Vanita and Billy Setliff of Lesage, WV, and Deborah and Stephen Carter of Huntington; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Jim and Linda Ward of Jodie, WV, Johnny and Patty Ward of Lavalette, WV, Tim Ward and fiancée, Sue of Ashland, KY, David Ward, Sr., and Virginia Ward of Huntington, and Jesse Music of Huntngton; three sisters, Minnie Adkins, Jewell Smith , and Brenda Handy; a brother, Larry Duncan; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday March 14, 2012 at the Living Waters Revival Center, 831 Virginia Ave, with Rev. Truman Maynard officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit after noon until service time Wednesday at the church. The family would appreciate donations to help with expenses.
