Thomas Francis "Murph" Murphy
(February 11, 1957 - March 25, 2012)



Thomas Francis "Murph" Murphy, 55, of Huntington, WV, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 31, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Murph was born February 11, 1957 in Huntington, WV a son of Betty Eleanor McDonough Murphy of Huntington and the late Paul Edward Murphy. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Laborer’s Local 543, being employed with Neighborgall Construction Co. He was preceded in death by one brother John Michael "Mike" Murphy and a sister-in-law Anne Murphy. Survivors include: his wife Susan Murphy; two daughters, Amber Holley and Kati Murphy; two sons Sean and Andrew Murphy all of Huntington; six sisters, Patricia Ogg, Bridget Childers and husband Bernard, Paula Johnson and husband Tracey, Kathleen Breeding and Colleen King and husband Dr. Steve King all of Huntington and Mary Ellen Murphy of Ohio; one brother Tim Murphy also of Huntington, two grandchildren Jayden and Ryleigh Holley; his sister-in-law, Mary Frances Murphy of Huntington, Toms mother-in-law & father-in-law; Margaret and Ted Farnsworth, a special dog Pikk; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Arvinder Bir at HIMG and the nurses, staff and the Pallotine Sisters at St. Mary’s Medical Center for all their loving care. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, March 30, 2012. In Lieu of flowers charitable contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Medical Center Oncology Department.
