Oscar Arrowood
(September 1, 1925 - October 16, 2012)

Oscar Arrowood, 87, of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born September 1, 1925 in Van Leer, KY a son of the late Leonard and Laura Ward Arrowood. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Jean Ann Hines Arrowood. Oscar was the owner of Arrowood’s Used Cars and was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church. Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kristi Nicolls Arrowood and J. Scott and Angie Arrowood, all of Huntington; his cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Zachery Mark and Melissa Joy Arrowood of Barboursville, WV, Seth Tanner and Tracey Ann Arrowood of Memphis, TN and Shila Kathleen Arrowood of Huntington; two great grandchildren, Zachery Lowen Arrowood and Caroline Joy Arrowood, both of Barboursville; a sister, Betty Lou St. Clair of Littleton, CO; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jim Arrowood of New Bern, NC and H.R. “Hank” and Fern Arrowood of Lavalette, WV; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Friday, October 19, 2012, at White Chapel Mausoleum, White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, with his grandsons, Pastor Zachery Arrowood and Pastor Tanner Arrowood officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM to noon Friday in the White Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O.
