Helen Stafford
(May 16, 1920 - October 29, 2012)



Helen Stafford, 92, of Huntington, WV, widow of John Everett Stafford, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012, at her residence. Helen was born May 16, 1920 in Mason County, WV a daughter of the late Harley R. and Gladys Anderson Coleman. In addition to her husband and parents, two brothers, Aderon Wiley Coleman and Paul Coleman, also preceded her in death. She was the owner of the former Sandwich Isle and was a member of the former Highlawn United Methodist Church, now the Community of Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors include: a nephew and his wife, Jim and Vera Stafford of Southern Pines, NC; nieces, Mary Beth Huffman of Columbus, OH and Kathy Lowry of Las Cruces, NM; cousins, Pam Casto of Parkersburg, WV and Garold Garrett of Keyser, WV; a special cousin, Emma Bryan and her family of Huntington; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2012, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Steve Hamrick officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
